Senn Brothers offers a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables, peanuts, fresh herbs and spices, exotic vegetables, eggs, pickles, and orange juice.
The delivery of full-line fresh produce will remain the primary service of Senn Brothers. However, alongside existing specialty items. Senn Brothers plans to expand our products to include a full line of dairy (milk, cheeses and specialty milk products).
Through nationwide suppliers, Senn Brothers has the capacity to receive large shipments of fresh produce, implement efficient and safe storage, and process a quick turn-around on outbound deliveries to numerous customers and vendors across the Carolinas. Suppliers include South Carolina and U.S. farmers, California growers and international growers in other countries, e.g., Chile. All suppliers must meet the good delivery standards of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) in order to do business with Senn Brothers.
Services
Senn Brothers currently offers a Produce Co-Op program for a few local churches and community groups. The Co-Op program works by getting any local organization or group to agree to coordinate, organize, publicize and implement a bulk delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables every two weeks to their designated site. At this site, groups of people can come each week and buy a basket of fresh produce for a highly competitive price, leaving with the confidence that they have benefited by purchasing their grocery supply of nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables, some of which are locally grown, at a very affordable price. One of Senn Brothers goals is to make healthy foods more available and help people who want to eat well and prevent diet-related disease. With produce items that are somewhat unfamiliar to some cooks, we will send home recipe cards with certain fruits or vegetables to provide a consumer education service to our customers. The Produce Co-Op program helps us get in touch with the end user and it is open to any group of twelve or more members within the service area that desires to start a local Co-Op.
