Senn Brothers is a third generation family-owned business that started in 1944. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, Senn Brothers has carved its business niche as a specialist in the wholesale distribution of a wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, peanuts and other fancy food products to restaurants, grocers, schools and other businesses within a 120 mile radius of central South Carolina. Originally begun with retail sales and small orders of fresh fruits and vegetables in downtown Columbia, Senn Brothers now has a warehouse operation that receives large shipments of fresh produce from nationwide suppliers and provides outbound deliveries to numerous commercial customers and vendors across the Carolinas.
Senn Brothers provides food service delivery and wholesale distribution to a well-diversified customer base of companies and individuals. Targeted buyers of Senn Brothers’ products are segmented into two primary markets: (1) Corporate Clients, such as restaurants, schools and hospitals, and (2) Individual Customers, usually as Consumer Co-op Groups. While the Company’s priority is to build our base of corporate clients, an area of outreach potential is individual consumers – reaching single shoppers and families through programs like neighborhood, church or community co-ops, a food savings plan where multiple families and individuals agree to buy wholesale products together in bulk and share the reduced costs.
Contract customers and order-based customers include white tablecloth and casual restaurants, hotels, grocer produce departments, delis, quick serve, multiunits (chain companies), contract feeders (canteens, etc.), schools/government, wholesale, health care, and military.
